Wanda United Methodist Church

     Our site is dedicated to bringing the word of God to the people of God, in our community and beyond. Through our various outreach and enrichment programs, we are building a solid, faith based foundation for our family and our future. The first time you visit Wanda UMC, you are our guest, the second time, you are family.

"Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples; baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you..." Matthew 28: 19-20a

We are a community focused church, empowered by the Holy Spirit, actively growing in God's love and service.

     Worship services have been held on the present site of Wanda UMC since 1802 although the congregation did not join the United Methodist Church until 1809. The first Church building was completed in or around 1809 and there have been three reconstructions on the same site over the years. The most recent was in 1957 and worship services continue to be held in what can only be described as a cozy, country church. The people of Wanda UMC truly function as a family with an emphasis on our children, who are not only the future of our church, but the future of our society.
